There’s something magical about Indian winters! I just want to stay in a blanket and eat warm food all day long- while somehow managing work in between. The chilly afternoons are when I crave my comfort food the most so I can brave the rest of the day! Also, our comfort foods are full of nutrition, and keep us warm in winter.

But the only thing I hate to do is — be in the kitchen and cook those elaborate meals!

But Indian culinary options are so diverse that we have a quick-fix version of nearly everything. We love to eat, without compromising on the taste.

So if you love cooking, you’re in for a treat! I am dropping in 5 easy Indian Recipes that take 10 minutes to prepare, using minimal ingredients, and delivering maximum flavour. These recipes are perfect for beginners and seasoned cooks alike. Let’s get started!

1. Masala Khichdi

Ingredients:
½ cup rice
¼ cup yellow moong dal
1 small tomato (chopped)
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp ghee
Salt to taste

Method:

  • Wash the rice and dal together.
