My Long-Distance Relationship Wasn’t An Easy One!
I was in a long-distance relationship with my now partner, and while it wasn’t always easy, it taught me some of the most valuable lessons about love.

They were right when they said, “Long-distance relationships are not for the faint-hearted. They test your patience, your trust, and your ability to love beyond presence”. Though I never thought about it actively, till I got into one and was there for years! While it wasn’t always easy, it taught me some of the most valuable lessons about love.
But let’s first talk about my LDR! There were days when the distance felt unbearable. There were moments when doubt crept in, and there were nights when I longed for nothing more than his presence beside me. But through it all, we found ways to make it work — not just to survive the distance but to build something deeper, more meaningful.
So if you’re in a long-distance relationship (LDR) or considering one, here are the dos and don’ts I learned from experience — combined with insights from research and relationship psychology.
